Nigerian graduate bags 12 awards in Ghana

Fathia Ayodele Kareem not only became a doctor on Saturday 27 August 2016, she also bagged 12 awards out the available 15 at the 23rd Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) School of Medical Sciences oath swearing and induction ceremony in Kumasi, Ghana.

25-year-old Fathia said she wasn’t expecting the number of accolades she won at the end of her 7-year course.

When the question was popped at her, she said:

“Yes and No. Yes because I worked hard by studying, and no because I did not expect to receive these number of awards.”
