Dangote acquires gas company in Europe

Africa’s richest man, Kano State-born Aliko Dangote, has completed the acquisition of Twister B.V., a gas processing company with headquarters in Rijswijk, Netherlands from Shell Technology Ventures Fund 1.

Dangote’s Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) co-purchased the company in partnership with First E&P.
The 59-year-old all-round business mogul who set up multi-billion dollar business cement, sugar and floor empires across several African countries said in a statement:

“This was an important acquisition for us.

“Twister’s cutting edge gas processing technology is fundamental to delivering our strategy to unlock about 3 bcfd of gas in order to meet Nigeria’s gas needs.”
