Cook absconds with N2.8bn from home of NNPC MD Esther Nnamdi-Ogbue

A male chef identified as Gabel Segbedji, from Benin Republic, has absconded with $6m (about 2.8 billion naira in today’s exchange rates) from the household of Esther Nnamdi-Ogbue, a former Managing Director of the Petroleum Products Pricing and Marketing Company (PPMC), a subsidiary of the NNPC.

The incident took place on 26 October 2016 and the assailant also took away a Toyota Camry car belonging to his boss. Reportedly, the victim, Mrs. Nnamdi-Ogbue, did not file the matter to police or any authorities following her March 2016 arrest, subsequent release and ongoing investigation over alleged fraud by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
