Nsibiet John, the publisher of New Ink Newspaper was reportedly arrested by policemen following his controversial piece of Akwa Ibom State deputy governor Moses Ekpo aka Uncle Mo.

Sitippe Akwa Ibom wrote on their Facebook page,
"The Editor of The Ink Newspaper, Nsibiet John was arrested this morning. The arrest of Nsibiet is in connection with his publication against uncle Mo.

"Uncle Mo had written a petition to the police against Nsibiet. The police is detaining anyone who reveals to be working with him. Emmanuel AKpan, the Deputy Editor whom I called to inform of Nsibiet's arrest had gone to the station to see his boss and has been detained too).

"They've asked him to make his statement on criminal defamation. They arrogantly refuse the presence of his lawyer. And have even started manhandling him.

"They intend to raid his office from here. Deputy gov is on his way to Police Headquarters, Ikot Akpanabia right now."
