Watford City hitman Jude Ighalo says he'll be happy to be joined at the Premiership club by Nigeria's Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi.

Mikel has fallen out of the Chelsea first team selection after the arrival of Italian manager Antonio Conte who has the services of Kante and Nemanja Matic at his disposal ahead of Mikel.

Speaking on Mikel's future, Ighalo said he wouldn't mind the central midfielder playing for Watford, although this could mean earning a lesser salary than what he collects at Chelsea.

His words:
"I would like it if Mikel joined me at Watford.

"He is my captain at the national team. Apart from that he is a very good player, very talented.

"There is no team in the Premier League that will not want to have such a player.

"I am happy I have played with him so I will be very happy to have him in my team."
