The office of the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) at Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria, was broken into and ransacked by thieves who left a note saying they'd be back. The incident occurred on Monday October 3 and a report has been lodged with the Lagos State Police Command.

Staff at the SERAP office resumed on Tuesday 4th October after the public holiday on Monday only to discover that the office locks has been broken, safes opened and a TV set destroyed alongside other damaged equipment.
The robbers took a small, undisclosed amount of money from one of the safes. They left a note saying "Not our target. We will be back."
