They used to be best of friends and even had a joint album titled Watch the Throne in 2011 but now Kanye West is saying that Jay Z did not contact him nor his wife following Kim K's robbery in Paris, France, and that they've fallen apart.
The rapper also admitted that the controversy between Jay Z's Tidal and Apple Music is pulling strings on many artistes' relationships, theirs not excluded.
Speaking during a stop at Saint Pablo tour, Kanye West said these words:
"Don’t call me, after the robbery, and say, ‘How you feelin?’ You wanna know how I’m feelin’? Come by the house,. Bring the kids by the house like we brothers.”
Speaking of Drake's "Pop Dance" track which was supposed to feature him and Jay Z but Jay Z backed out at long last, Kanye added:
"I wasn’t on this song because of Hov. You didn’t get what you were supposed to get because of some TIDAL-Apple bullshit.
"I start freestyling to it. Jay thought of a couple lines … I said, ‘Man go ahead and throw it on there. [Drake] will be so surprised, he probably wasn’t expecting you to be on there.
"We sent it back to him and he said, ‘Oh shit, the Throne is on this shit. Then Jay thought of it and out of respect for Meek Mill, he didn’t want to be on the track.” (Meek Mill, a longtime rival of Drake, is signed to Jay Z’s Roc Nation).
"There will never be a ‘Watch the Throne 2.’ You know why? Cause that’s the reason why I wasn’t on the song. I can’t take this shit, bro."
