Speaking after the match, chief whip of the Anambra House of Assembly who played in a midfield position, Hon Lawrence Ezeudu, said:
"My brothers, I and my team members are happy, we are not happy just because we won, no!The match was organized by the Nigeria Union of Journalists in celebration of the Organization’s Media Game Week. It was played at a pitch in Anambra Broadcasting Service's Stadium of Light in Anambra State capital, Awka.
"We are happy because we came to your house with only one aim and, that’s focus and determination to win and carry the day. I’m glad we won! I must also appreciate the spirited effort been put to sustain me and my team if not, we should have score more goals.
"Today has shown that we are in great relationship and this football match which has just ended will help strengthen the cordial relationship that exist between Anambra State House of Assembly and Nigeria Union of Journalists.
"It will also serve as a prove that in Anambra, there’s a good working relationship between all sectors but, finally, I’m glad we won today in your home where you train day and night."
