Aminu Aliyu, the head of Operations, Gombe Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), made this known on Thursday. According to him, people pay between N120,000 and N150,000 to get these employment letters which turn out to be fake at long last

His words:
"This amounts to N13.162 million.

"The state government solicited our participation which we gladly obliged. Our officers discovered 1, 022 people were issued fake letters of appointment across all the local government areas of Gombe State.

"16 people arrested in connection to the crime will soon be arraigned.

"Those arrested and interrogated will soon be prosecuted, while four business centres involved in production of fake documents had been sealed."
