His new song titled Wewe ni Mungu is currently rocking the airwaves in Kenya and even here n Nigeria, however, some sections of the media believe that Daddy Owen stole the crowd favourite from a South African musician - where a similar version of the song is popular in another language.

Replying the claims, Daddy Owen said in a statement:
"No one can claim the right of the song that originated from DRC  and has since been sung in South Africa, Zambia  just to mention a few countries.

"Besides I never claimed to own the song and that is why I clearly stated that the song is a rendition-in Swahili version."
